Living in Philadelphia and commuting to west Chester for classes every week, I use regional rail to Exton but the extension of rail service to KOP would be even better!

I would love to have the convenience of riding the train and save on gas. Also, in turn reducing carbon emission.

The extension of this rail line to the King of Prussia area represents a much needed transit link within the region. The KOP area continues to develop as both a location for trip origins and destinations for people to live, work and play. Having a transit connection will no doubt relieve some of the roadway congestion in the area and provide equitable access for people across the region.

KOP Rail is one of SEPTA’s biggest opportunities to provide swift rapid transit service to the KOP’s growing market. On top of serving one of the largest malls and retail centers, it also provides a direct connection to business parks located in and around the mall complex. It also will serve many people living within the King of Prussia Apartment Complexes. The Norristown High-Speed Line (soon to be the M Train) is America’s last Interurban Rapid Transit Line and connecting it to KOP brings back the interurban nature of the line as KOP acts like its own city. The modern elevated stations will be beautiful, and sleek. This will also help take traffic off of I-76. Something I-76 desperately needs at the moment.

Green projects like this one should not require a second thought. To decrease our carbon footprint more projects and more forward thinking planners need to educate the public just as it’s been done here.
