Funding Infrastructure: Opportunities for Projects of Regional Significance
Tuesday, January 14 | 1-1:30 PM
In the spring of 2019, the Southeastern Pennsylvania Partnership for Mobility (Partnership), a collaboration between the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC) and Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA), in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, issued a report presenting their vision for mobility in the five-county region and ways for the PTC to stabilize toll rates and expand its system to spur additional economic growth. The report identifies projects of significance that will accommodate existing demand and unlock additional growth to keep the region’s positive economic momentum going, including King of Prussia Rail, and begins to address funding and financing options. Mark P. Compton, Chief Executive Officer for the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, will offer a high-level overview of the Partnership’s findings as they relate to this project.
