Public transportation is going to become more and more necessary as population in urban areas continues to grow. Many people are without vehicular transportation, and for them it is absolutely crucial. For example, I have a daughter who is unable to drive. It also really matters to seniors. Now that regional rail is inexpensive due to my senior status, I would never think of driving into central Philadelphia, bucking traffic jams, time uncertainties, and parking issues. Making major points accessible by public transport is urgent! *And* extending a rail line along 422 would also be extremely beneficial. Greater ease for Ursinus students to go into the larger community would be one positive outcome. Allowing more people in outlying areas to get to central Philadelphia without driving would be another. I consider this a hugely important project.

I am a store director for a retailer in the King of Prussia Mall for years and having a rail system here to Philly would be a game-changer for the area in many ways. It would alleviate traffic on 76 which is a nightmare for commuters and makes it difficult for my employees to get to work. Also in my opinion this would grow business in the mall and the area if people could easily commute via rail. I am so excited at the chance this could come to fruition.

I would love to have the convenience of riding the train and save on gas. Also, in turn reducing carbon emission.

I would like to have a direct and time effective mass transit option to commute to work.

The Economy League of Greater Philadelphia

As a 40-year resident of King of Prussia, I’ve watched the area grow from a typical suburb into a huge economic and business community. At the same time, I’ve seen its transportation network become strained to the breaking point by road-centered development so I welcome the NHSL extension project as a LONG-overdue improvement.
